“Talking the Talk” Down to 6 Finalists

Posted on by Tom Kurtz

For the second season Sports32 has run an exciting competition to select one person to be a guest on the Sports32 Roundtable with Dennis Krause called “Talking the Talk”.   This show has given the viewer a chance to win a spot on our signature program, the “Sports32 Roundtable”, which is our daily local sports discussion show.  The process started with an e-mail stating why they would be a good guest, to being selected as a Semifinalist, to taping a screen test with Dennis, and finally 2 rounds of voting on Wisconsin on Demand Channel 411.

Last week we announced the six Finalists for Season 2 of this competition.  They are:  Kyle Wallace, a former college football player and student from Wisconsin-Whitewater.  Adam Burnett, a Finalist from 2011 that loves fantasy sports so much he has his own website.  A huge Sports32 Roundtable fan and Auto Parts salesman from Kimberly, Steve Hurley.  Local Comedian Tom Vanden Boom, who has also been a Prison Warden and Model!  Corbin Weyer, a young sports fanatic and Marquette graduate that tells it like it is.  Finally, Amy Hutter, a teacher from Greendale who is also back from Season 2.

We will choose the 2012 winner from these final 6 contestants.  Viewers still have until Wednesday to vote for their favorite on Wisconsin on Demand, Channel 411,  that will decide the eventual winner.  Each view counts as a vote.  You can see the screen tests for the Final 6 on WIOD, as well as all 3 “Talking the Talk” shows from Sports32 with host Lisa Manna.

We will announce the winner of Season 2 on the Sports32 Roundtable on Wednesday August 15th at 4:30pm (replays at 5:30 & 9:30p).  Congratulations to the finalists and good luck in these last few days of voting!
